What Book Do You Wish Your Kids Loved as Much as You Do?

I just knew my daughter would love the same children’s books I loved. I am a platinum level bookworm after all. In reality, my five-year old gave two thumbs down on two of my favorite children’s picture books: Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak and The Story About Ping by Marjorie Flack.

Maybe my daughter finds the wild things to be a little too wild. Maybe she’d appreciate “The Story About Ping” more if the poor little ducks didn’t get whacked on the butt.

My favorites may grow on my kids someday. For now, I’ll keep these little gems to myself.
